The GMT-Master ref. 16710 is a classic of modern watchmaking. Produced from 1988 to 2007, it is a must-have timepiece in any Rolex collection. It is the successor to reference 16750. The main technical difference between the two references is that the 16710 was equipped with the new COSC-certified caliber 3185 and featured a modern, more resistant sapphire crystal. During its production, several variations were made, differing in movement, dial, and bracelet. The most desirable versions are those with components used for a very short period, such as this example featuring a SWISS ONLY dial, found in only a few 16710s produced between the late 1990s and early 2000s.
This Rolex GMT-Master ref. 16710 is an exceptional example, preserved over the years with the utmost care and attention. It features a special and rare configuration with a Swiss Only dial. The dial, case, bracelet, and movement are in perfect aesthetic and technical condition, correct for the year of production. The dial is immaculate, as is the insert, whose red portion has aged into a fascinating deep pink hue. No restorations have been carried out on the dial, hands, case, or bracelet. The original sticker is still present. In addition to the Oyster bracelet, the watch also includes a Jubilee bracelet from a couple of years later, with 50/502T end links, correct for a GMT-Master 16710. The watch comes with warranty and booklets. A perfect example for those looking for a 16710 in TOP condition.
